Polytechnic scientists open the way to science for schoolchildren
Polytechnic professors Marina Akulova and Lyudmila Oparina acted as experts of the regional competition of scientific and technological projects "Big Challenges", held at the Solaris Center on March 21-22.
High school students from different districts of the Ivanovo region presented their projects in the areas of "Modern Energy", "Smart City and Security", "Unmanned transport and logistics systems", "Big Data, artificial intelligence, financial technologies and machine learning", "Cognitive Research", "Genetics and Biomedicine", "Ecology and Study climate change", "Development of the Arctic and the World Ocean".
Marina Akulova, Head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies, evaluated the results of students' work on the invention of new materials, and Lyudmila Oparina, Head of the Department of Production and Urban Management, selected the best projects in the areas of "Smart City and Security" and "Modern Energy". The children who have passed the competitive selection will be able to study at the All-Russian Educational center "Sirius" in Sochi.
