Future fire safety specialists joined the Competence Marathon

On March 5 and 6, students of the Department of Natural Sciences and Technosphere Safety, studying in the direction 20.05.01 “Fire Safety”, successfully defended their final qualifying theses.

Graduation theses related to fire safety audits at real sites, were presented to the members of the State Certification Commission. The objects included the buildings of the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Ivanovo Region and the Administration of the City of Ivanovo, the buildings of the Regional Anti-TB Dispensary, CJSC “Clothes and Fashion”, secondary school No. 8 and others. Alexander Zamyatin has carried out his diploma work as a startup. In developing a business idea related to testing and assessing the fire resistance of fire doors, Alexander was advised by his supervisor, associate professor Maria Toropova.

Congratulating the graduates on successful defense of their theses, the Chairman of the State Attestation Committee, Mikhail Rodin, noted the importance of training specialists in the field of fire safety and the practical significance of the work. Varvara Rumyantseva, the Head of the Department of Sciences and Technosphere Safety, wished the future specialists a successful professional start.
