Ivanovo universities develop creative ties

On February 13, the art exhibition "Black-white + Color", prepared by the Department of Costume Design and Textiles named after N.G. Mizonova of Ivanovo Polytechnic University, opened at the Sheremetyevo Center of ISUCT (Ivanovo State University of Chemistry and Technology).

"Creativity once again brings our universities closer together," said Evgeny Bobrov, the organizer and permanent head of the Sheremetyevo Center and its famous Chamber Choir, Honorary Professor of ISUCT, at the opening of the vernissage. Recalling the long–standing tradition of holding joint exhibition projects, he thanked the department and the "main character" of the current event - an original artist and a talented teacher, associate professor of the department Alexander Peshkov, for a new interesting exhibition.

Only the one who burns himself can light the torch. The words belong to Plutarch, and primarily refer to such as Alexander Alekseevich. "He can definitely spark students with his creativity and help young talents open up," Olga Surikova, head of the department of the N.G. Mizonova Medical School, confirmed the philosopher's statement. The visible proof of this was the works presented at the exhibition and the approach to its formation.

The idea of the exhibition is a Teacher and a Student. The exhibition presents graphic and painterly decorative canvases made in various techniques by A.A. Peshkov and his students of different years. Among the exhibits there are also the best works of those who nervously passed the exams quite recently. For example, a fourth-year student Irina Mosaleva. The exhibition presents four of her works! Both her mentor and the chairman of the regional branch of the Union of Artists Oleg Kolbashov, who is present at the opening of the exhibition, are quite satisfied with this. In his opinion, one can only be glad that the students adequately represent the Ivanovo school of design, and at the same time keep more experienced artists in good shape.
