The success of a young designer at the TOCHKA RU 2023 festival

Dasha Soldatenkova, a second-year student of the Department of VKT named after N.G. Mizonova, representing the Ivanovo School of Design at the All-Russian competition of young designers "TOCHKA RU 2023", won the 3rd place.

Having passed the correspondence qualifying stage, our student submitted to the competition a collection of clothing "Mysteries" made of linen fabrics of the long-time partner of the IVSPU holding "TDL Textile". The collection participated in the nomination "Traditions and Modernity" and, according to the author, is inspired by ancient Greek mythology. Each model, each of the five images reminds the viewer of the mythical characters of Ancient Greece through various symbols.

Prints depicting snakes from the head of the Gorgon medusa, Cerberus, pomegranate and other symbolic signs Daria Soldatenkova developed independently and transferred to the fabric by digital printing. And the models themselves resemble ancient Greek chiton and peplos, complemented by elements of modern casual clothing.

We should add that the competition of young designers "DOT RU 2023" was held by the Kosygin Russian State University, and it was held in Moscow, as part of the First Russian Design and Fashion Forum, initiated by the Roscongress Foundation. The Ivanovo modeling agency "ART PLAY" and its head Elena Shlykova, as well as Dasha's mentor, a talented designer and young teacher Ksenia Demyanenko, helped our young designer to adequately present his work at the competition.

"It's great when you have the opportunity to take part in such large-scale competitions, to show yourself and your work in the capital in front of a large audience. Especially unexpected and pleasant is the passage to the final and the high evaluation of the jury. I will be happy to participate in detailed events and create new clothing collections."
