Science and business are creating a light industry development center on the basis of the BIM campus
The main topic of the project session held on March 31 at the Polytechnic University was the discussion of the concept of a research center designed for the tasks of the Russian light industry in the contour of the BIM campus, and the development of solutions for its launch with a high level of "survivability".
Discussing the topic of the semantic content of the future main scientific platform of the region, representatives of Ivanovo textile and clothing enterprises, the Polytechnic University and its scientific partners are confident that science and business need to "make friends" even closer and focus on the most important areas for the industry, namely, training and achieving technological sovereignty of the country. There is a good scientific and technical foundation in the region, experience and interesting practices of interaction with business, too. Now it is important to determine which programs and research will be implemented on the campus site, and what should be expected as a result.
The effectiveness of the work done, in the words of the Rector of IVSPU Evgeny Rumyantsev, will reflect the cumulative indicator "ANNUAL INCREASE": an increase in income, an increase in the share of practical training of students, the number of startups, basic departments, and the share of foreign students. In this regard, he reminded the participants of the session that the campus is, first of all, a special environment for learning, research and innovation activities, and the full–fledged formation of competencies of young researchers and specialists is the result of the launch of new network educational programs jointly implemented by "top" universities and industrial partners. In the plan proposed by E.V. Rumyantsev, 2023-2027 is allocated for the launch of pilot scientific and technological projects and educational programs, 2027 will be the year of the launch of the R&D Center on the campus.
It should be added that Yulia Vasilyeva, Deputy Prime Minister of the Ivanovo Region, took part in the project session. The discussion of the issues on the agenda was attended by the heads and leading specialists of the Shuisky Calico, Mercury Group, PFC Lidertex, Istok-Prom, GC Beads and other companies, as well as representatives of the IVSPU, IHTU and IHR RAS.
