Polytech has developed a composition for a construction 3D printer
ECOPACK company conducted the first production tests of a concrete mix for printing building elements on a 3D printer. The composition of the mixture was developed at the Department of Architecture and Building Materials of IVSPU.
As the experiment has shown, for additive technologies in construction, a very special composition of concrete is needed. The layers should be firmly adjacent to each other, have high strength, do not sag and do not change the shape of the product. Only in this case, you can try to print individual concrete products and even entire buildings.
At the next stage, a team of scientists led by Professor Marina Akulova will finalize the composition of the mixture, which may vary depending on the speed of laying and the width of the product, and will also select new compositions from the raw materials of our region, Armenia and Tajikistan.
