Young Ivanovo designers in the finals of the PROfashion masters competition
In the finals of the All-Russian competition of industrial designers of outerwear PROfashion Masters, which will be held in Moscow at the CPM (Collection Première Moscow) exhibition, four students and graduates of the Costume and Textile Design Department N.G. Mizonova.
According to the organizers, more than 400 applications from all over Russia were received for the IX All-Russian competition of clothing designers PROfashion Masters. In connection with such interest in the competition, it was decided to increase the number of participants in the final. On the podium, the jury will see 16 competition collections, including four collections created by our designers.
So, a 4th year student Lilia Sergeeva developed a draft coat design on the theme of first love and betrayal, in which she tried to combine the culture of Japan and the European cut of outerwear. Graduate of 2015 Olga Korochkina (Terentyeva) will take the collection “Heritage” to Moscow, where the idea is based on images of war and culture. A graduate of the department in 2019, Ekaterina Vasilyeva, will present the ASH (Ashes) collection dedicated to the Russian soul and Russian culture, and a graduate of 2020, Alexei Malinin, will present the Zhostovo conceptual men's collection, choosing the theme of Russian folk crafts.
Now designers are completing work on outerwear collections. Finished models will be presented in Moscow, at the CPM exhibition on February 20-23, after which we should expect the announcement of the names of the winners.
