Ecology of modern cities was discussed at the Polytechnic University
On December 23rd, the IX Interregional Seminar "Environmental Aspects of Modern Cities" was held at the ISPU.
In addition to employees and students of the ISPU, representatives of the Ivanovo University of Chemical Technology, the Ivanovo Fire and Rescue Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Tyumen Industrial University, Sakhalin State University, the Kostroma Agricultural Academy, the Russian University of Oil and Gas named after I. M. Gubkin, took part in the seminar online, Volgograd Technical University, Kostroma State University. The participants discussed issues of urbanism, ecology of building materials, environmental quality assessment, energy and resource saving, development of treatment facilities, as well as the importance of environmental measures in solving environmental problems of settlements.
The seminar was opened by the Director of the Institute of Information Technologies, Natural Sciences and Humanities, Head of the Department of Natural Sciences and Technosphere Safety of the ISPU, Corresponding Member of RAACS, Professor Varvara Rumyantseva. Ivanovo inter-district environmental prosecutor Maxim Grechanik, co-director of the seminar Academician of the RAACS, professor Sergey Fedosov, lieutenant colonel of the internal service Maxim Bakanov and director of the Technical Oil and Gas Institute of Sakhalin State University Konstantin Strokin delivered a welcoming speech.
The work "Development of cleaning systems based on plasma processes" by Grigory Gusev, senior lecturer of the Department of Industrial Ecology of the Ivanovo State University of Chemical Technology, was recognized as the best report. The presentations of Ivanovo Polytechnic University student Nguyen Dinh Mai (“Environmental Aspects of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam”) and postgraduate student of Volgograd State Technical University Ekaterina Dikareva (“Assessment of the urban heat island effect based on remote sensing data”) were also noted.
The seminar ended with the presentation of Gratitude of the Chief Federal Inspector for the Ivanovo Region of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District Mikhail Kalashnikov and the Diploma of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Ivanovo Region Svetlana Shmeleva to Associate Professors of the Department of Natural Sciences and Technosphere Safety.
It is worth adding that starting from 2023, the seminar will be held in the format of the national scientific and practical conference "Environmental Aspects of Modern Cities".
