Meeting With Machine Builders

On the eve of the Machine Builder's Day, which is celebrated annually on September 22, the rector of the Polytechnic University Evgeny Rumyantsev held a meeting with the heads of machine-building enterprises.

Addressing the representatives of "Avtokran", "Aquarius", "BASHKRAN", "Voentelecom", "Galich Crane Plant", "Plant named after G.K. Korolev", "Crown-elevator Service" and "Kranex", Evgeny Rumyantsev noted that in conditions when foreign manufacturers are leaving the Russian market, and the technological chains that have developed over the years are being torn, domestic enterprises must unite with each other and with universities. "We need to solve problems jointly that we cannot cope with alone," he stressed.

The problem of personnel training is one of these. Almost all speakers noted poor career guidance in schools and, as a result, low interest among young people in engineering specialties, an acute shortage of personnel staff in mechanical engineering. A number of decisions were made at the meeting, which should lead to positive changes in the specialists’ training for machine-building enterprises of the Ivanovo region. All participants of the meeting noted the importance of such meetings and expressed their readiness to participate in the implementation of plans.
