Ivanovo Polytechnic University trains the best textile designers
A fourth-year student, Svetlana Sizova, won first place in the All-Russian Fashion Satchel Contest, held at Southwestern State University.
Department of costume design and textiles named after N.G. Mizonova once again proved the high level of textile designerstraining. Svetlana with her project "Artificial Nature" became the winner in the nomination "Art Textile". Together with her supervisor, Associate Professor of the Department Tatyana Shcherbakova, she prepared a collection of handkerchiefs with traditional floral motifs.
The jury of the competition, which included well-known fashion designers, fashion observers, art historians, members of the creative Unions of the Russian Federation and international associations, representatives of art councils and design schools, heads of the Kursk city administration, highly appreciated the work of Svetlana Sizova, awarding her victory in the competition.
