Polytech at International Exhibitions
In the Year of Science and Technology, September turned out to be rich in professional exhibitions. A number of the most famous and prestigious forums were attended by students and employees of our university, and on September 21, the Polytechnic University will become a participant in one of them.
So, on September 9, students of the Department of Standardization and Metrology together with associate professor Tatyana Gois visited the Metrolexpo 2021exhibition. The guys were among the first to see and evaluate the new products on the Russian market of testing, measuring and metrological equipment, to participate in round tables and discussion sections of the forum.
Soon after this the fourth-year students of the Department of Costume and Textile Design named after N.G. Mizonova together with the head of the Department Olga Surikova and the Deputy General Director for marketing of the Shuya Chintz factory Catherine Matrosova went to the capital's Central Exhibition Complex "Expocentre" to get acquainted with manufacturers of home textiles, fabrics and decorative materials at Heimtextil Russia.
By the way, Ekaterina participated in this trip not by chance – the students will have to choose the topics of graduation theses, and this academic year some of them will be related to the development of fabric design for "Shuya chintz”.
On the same day, the rector of IVSPU Evgeny Rumyantsev and the head of the Department of Information Rresources and Communications Alla Novikova met with the leaders of the profile market, examined the exposition of the latest technological developments in the field of production and processing of technical textiles and nonwovens, and also found potential business partners for the University at the international exhibition Techtextil Russia.
On Tuesday, September 21, Ivanovo Polytechnic University will represent the region at the annual international exhibition "CJF-Children's Fashion. Autumn". For the first time, along with well-known Russian and foreign brands, the Competence Center of the Textile and Light Industry of IVSPU and the ART PLAY studio model agency will present collections of fashionable children's and teenage clothing created by students and graduates of IVSPU on orders from Ivanovo sewing companies or from the fabrics of our textile workers as part of the program for the development of regional brands.
In the presentation program, which is called "Ivanovo – the territory of talents", will participate not only the authors and supervisors of student’ industrial collections, but also the partners of the Competence Center - the companies "Viotex", "Children's Boom", "Detline" and a young Ivanovo entrepreneur Irina Borodulina, who is developing the ALTATERRI eco-brand. The collections of clothes will present fabrics of KhBC "Shuiskie chintz", the company "Mirtex" and the holding "TDL Textile".
