Bosco manufactories: to be equal to the best
On June 7, a delegation from the Ivanovo Polytechnic University arrived to Kaluga, where they visited the Manufacturing Complex Bosco, a new, modern sewing enterprise, which is considered to be the flagship of the domestic light industry.
University Rector Evgeniy Rumyantsev, Head of Practice and Employment Department Elena Vlasova and Head of Information Resources Department and Communications Alla Novikova met the CEO of the company Sergey Gavrik and a number of top-level executives. Sergey Yuryevich told the guests about the history of the creation of the first Russian brand with international recognition and shared his immediate plans that would further raise the bar of the enterprise's production ambitions, to be more exact, plans to attract foreign luxury brands to Russia, for which Kaluga would become a production site.
In addition, the company produces over 3.5 million knitwear and 120,000 outerwear a year under its own brand. These are stylish clothes and accessories for an active lifestyle, including clothes for the Russian Olympic team and various sports federations. Brand stores Bosco di Ciliegi are located in GUM at Red Square, in the capital Petrovsky Passage, at Novy Arbat, in Smolensky Passage, and also in St. Petersburg, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Sochi.
Solving the problem of moving production facilities from the countries where luxury brands are traditionally sewn to our country, they connect with the achievement of the world level production organization and personnel qualifications, as well as with the commissioning of the second stage of the enterprise, where about 400 new jobs are to be added to the existing 900 jobs.
Delegations of the Polytechnic University were shown the workshops with the highest level of automation of technological processes and the best European equipment and their own training center. During the working talks, the sides discussed the main approaches to finding and training workers and engineers, and outlined a series of joint actions, opening up opportunities for permanent and mutually beneficial cooperation.
