More creativity! Young designers clearly know a lot about fashion.
Fashion is changeable, and the profession of a designer requires inexhaustible creativity. The fact that it is truly inexhaustible was successfully demonstrated by the graduates of the Department of Costume Design and Textile. N.G. Mizonova at the defense of their diploma papers, which took place on 18th June.
This year the department prepares designers whose specialization is textile design. They presented to the members of the state attestation commission crocs and samples of fabrics with drawings they created. In addition to teachers Tatyana Shcherbakova, Svetlana Kuzmicheva and the head of the department Olga Surikova appreciated the work of graduates by Anna Sitnikova, executive director of the Moscow company Solstudio Textile Design, representative of the employing company Daria Kudryashova and designer, entrepreneur, chief artist of the Moscow Regional Drama and Comedy Theater, President of the All-Russian Festival "Fashion 4.0", Associate Professor of the Faculty of Arts of Moscow State University .IN. Lomonosov Vladimir Vikyu.
According to experienced professionals, students of the Polytechnic University have once again confirmed the unique potential and powerful creative component of the Ivanovo School of Design. Members of the commission and numerous spectators were pleased with the intricate oriental engravings and architectural motifs in the works of Milena Hamidova, reworked in the author's style. The motives of Japanese hieroglyphs and the symbolism of various mythical creatures formed the basis of prints and Anna Nezhkina. Picturesque textural experiments in digital performance by Evgeniya Vinogradova, bright and memorable crochets for interior textiles or fabrics of the dress group of other graduates.
By the way, there were quite a few representatives of Ivanovo enterprises in the hall, for example, the "Shuiskiye Sittsy Enterprise", the "PROTEKS Company", and the "Viotex Trading House". Of course, young designers are expected there. And yet, they were anxiously "rooting for their" graduates. Those who had an internship with them or, like Helena Tadesse, participate in the project of the Competence Center for Textile and Light Industry for the development of brands of Ivanovo sewing companies.
Together with her mentor, associate professor of the department Elena Maksimova, commissioned by Ltd "TD Viotex" and, relying on the results of the company's brand audit and analysis of the situation on the home knitwear market, she not only developed fashionable designs that successfully imitate marble stains, applying knowledge of trends in design of textiles, but also presented a capsule collection of clothing for women aged 45+ in the sports-casual style. Thus, she also demonstrated her own practical experience, thanks to her work as a creative costume designer in a clothing upcycling company and cooperation with "Viotex".
By the way, Russian buyers will soon see the new collection under the brand name of the "Viotex Trading House", and as Vladimir Vikyu noted, this is an illustrative example of how the designers and specialists of the Polytechnic University Competence Center help local enterprises to get away from the style of “Ivanovo knitwear wholesale from the manufacturer” and stop being associated with clothing markets and stalls in the metro passages of the capital.
To the traditional and the numerous congratulations in such cases sounded on this day to the graduates of the department, one can only add the following. These are the words of its first and permanent head, Natalya Grigorievna Mizonova: “They, our today's students and graduates, will shine and work in the third millennium in the vastness of our big country. In provincial cities, which have always nourished the capital with their talents, they will create a new, so far unexpected culture of the Russian provinces. They will create crocs and sketches of costumes, implement them in life. They will break the 20th century stereotype that the Russian province is tasteless and dull. Their textiles will be elegant and modest, it will revive the artistic culture of Russian fabrics and the dignity of the appearance of residents of large and small cities of Russia. Knowing a lot about fashion, they can do it! "
