The University holds the Polytech Week

During the week, students studying in different areas of training and university teachers will be able to become participants in events aimed at revealing their creative talents and a fruitful dialogue with colleagues, peers and partners.

The Week started with the traditional Open Day. The acquaintance of schoolchildren with the university will continue in the coming days. On Monday, the winners of the regional competition "Polytech of the Future" will be the guests of the university. On the same day, Ivanovo schoolchildren will become participants in the Do You Know Ivanovo team game dedicated to the 150th anniversary of our city. The program will be continued by a friendly volleyball match between the teams of the Polytechnic University and Lyceum No. 67, an impromptu online meeting of the Polytechnic leadership with the parent community, the Open Day of the IVSPU College, which will be held on April 23.

The # We_Polytech photo contest will show how students themselves see their university, and issues of student self-government in conjunction with the university development program will become the topic of the youth project session scheduled for Thursday. The festive and at the same time business spirit of the Week will be continued by the extended meeting of the Academic Council. It will focus on the implementation of the IVSPU development program and the concept of a new university educational track with elements of "nuclear" technology and an open curriculum. Targeted learning issues will be the topic of a workshop-meeting with representatives of municipalities.

Another traditional April event awaits students and their scientific mentors. This is the National Youth Scientific and Technical Conference "POISK-2021". Over the years, it has acquired the status of an effective discussion and educational platform, where young researchers from all over the country and a number of foreign countries present the results of their work, together with qualified experts discuss the possibility of their application in practice, participate in the competition for the best public report with a focus on grant the program "UMNIK" of the Fund for the Promotion of Innovations, training in a master's or postgraduate studies, a career in the scientific or industrial field.

Conference "SEARCH - 2021" will end the Week. But, before that, another significant event will be held - the opening of student coworking and the main working sites of the Competence Center for the textile and light industry. Since the symbolic transfer of keys to the team

student asset, students and teachers of the departments of the Institute of Fashion Industry at their disposal will have another space for collective work with a thoroughly renovated library and a fund of rare books, comfortable recreation areas and various thematic events, a Digital Fashion Studio and a Fashion Design and Technology Studio. The latter includes a laboratory of knitwear production equipped with modern sewing equipment and a showroom - a demonstration site of a strategically important project for the university and the region to develop local brands.

The project is based on work in tandem of different departments and close collaboration with Ivanovo textile workers. It is aimed at supporting ready-to-develop clothing companies and accelerating entrepreneurial initiatives of talented students and graduates of the university. The design of fashionable and stylish clothing collections, the production of patterns and test samples, technological audit and scouting, the development of brand image attributes, educational programs and trend sessions, various event marketing tools fully reflect the range of services of the university as a Competence Center for the textile and light industry and serve a unifying principle that strengthens the connection between the system of practice-oriented training of young specialists and the key industry for the region.
