Young designers of Ivanovo State Polytechnic University became WorldSkills experts

Senior lecturer of the Department of Costume Design and Textiles named after N. G. Mizonova, Ksenia Demyanenko and sophomore Alexander Gushchin were among the experts of the VI Regional Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia) Ivanovo region in the competence of "Graphic design".

Professional competitions were held in the period from 2 to 5 March in the Ivanovo Regional Art School named after M. I. Malyutin, whose graduates are our young experts. Ksenia Mikhailovna and Alexander had to evaluate the results of the participants' performance of competitive tasks and choose the winner who would present the region at the All-Russian Championship.

As for the tasks themselves, the young designers were asked to develop the main elements of the corporate identity-a logo, a form, a business card and an envelope, as well as to present a design project for the hotel premises. In addition, they were to develop a roll-up and design of an online mailing list, create a design project for a multi-page periodical, including the cover and interior block, and to top it off, offer a packaging option for a medical company and draw up instructions for it.

It is worth adding that many of its participants, without waiting for the results, thought about further training and were interested in the new training profile "Advertising Design", which will be opened at the Ivanovo Polytechnic University in 2021.
