Polytechnic University joined the All-Russian action "Scientists to Schools"
On February 12, as part of the Year of Science and Technology, teachers of the Ivanovo State Polytechnic University visited a number of Ivanovo schools, where they delivered lectures and told students about the role of science in the modern world.
So, for example, in secondary school No. 65, the head of the Department of Organization of Production and Urban Economy, professor Lyudmila Oparina read the lecture "Smart home" to the high school students. The schoolchildren learned what needs to be done to make the house comfortable, economical and energy efficient. Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Management and Finance Vera Deltsova visited Lyceum No. 67, where she told students how to manage personal finances and plan their expenses, revealed the features of the "product" and explained how modern economics "works", and Associate Professor of the Department of Natural Sciences and Technosphere Safety Lyubov Antina spoke on the topic: "Nanoart: the secret beauty of micro - and nanostructures around us."
Schoolchildren of secondary school No. 53 learned how to use unmanned aerial vehicles to detect fires during the conversation with Associate Professor of the Department of Natural Sciences and Technosphere Safety Maria Toropova, and Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Management and Finance Natalia Chelnokova suggested the children how to properly manage their time in order to achieve set goals. One of the lectures was dedicated to the history and modern life of Ivanovo by IVSPU scientists. The lecture "The coat of arms of our city: why the spinning wheel" was prepared by Elena Varganova, Associate Professor of the Scientific and Educational Center "Competence Center for Textile and Light Industry". The students were senior pupils of secondary school №54.
Let us remind that the all-Russian action "Scientists in Schools" was carried out at the initiative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia together with the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Union of Rectors, with the support of the organizing committee of the NAUKA 0+ Festival.
