Home Style company visiting Polytech

On November 8, representatives of the Ivanovo company Home Style visited our university.

The company, which is one of the large manufacturers of knitted clothing for home and outdoor activities, was represented by production manager Anna Minkina, designers Lyubov Spirina and Ekaterina Devochkina, technologists Valentina Mochalova and Yulia Goryunkova, as well as purchasing manager Yulia Komshilova. All of them are graduates from our university of different years. As, indeed, are the company’s leaders themselves, who also graduated from the textile academy.

The welcome guests were warmly greeted by Natalya Onipchenko, a specialist in the Department of Information Resources and Communications, and associate professors Olga Radchenko and Anastasia Kornilovich, who gave the guests a tour of our significantly transformed university. Home Style specialists were shown a demo room with samples of modern Ivanovo textiles and a professional photo studio “Med”, were introduced to the training and production sites of “Professionalitet”, were taken through the branded audiences of basic departments and creatively designed cozy student lounge areas. The guests also looked into the assembly hall, where one of the creative groups was rehearsing. And in the Design Studio, the girls got acquainted with the student clothing collections with interest and enjoyed nostalgia, visiting the students’ classes and remembering their student years.

During the visit, there was time to discuss issues of mutual interest. They discussed the services and major projects of the Textile and Light Industry Competence Center, discussed the content of the company's employee development program, as well as areas of collaboration with students.
