Polytechnic University at the Admiralty Needle fashion festival

At the XXIX International Fashion Festival of Art and Design “Admiralty Needle”, held in St. Petersburg, Ivanovo and our university were represented by Associate Professor of the Department of Costume Design and Textiles named after. N.G. Mizonova Ksenia Demyanenko and department graduate Ekaterina Sokhareva.

Ksenia Demyanenko joined the jury of the competition. Let us remind you that in 2021 Ksenia received the highest award - the Grand Prix of the Admiralty Needle for the Biomaterial collection, in 2022 she participated in a VIP show as a guest designer with the clothing collection Kiss in the Forest, and in 2023 she was awarded a new status. Together with our young designer, the jury members represented Russia, Italy, China, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Pakistan. The partners of the festival were higher schools of Donghua University (Shanghai, China), Greenwich Fashion University, Marangoni Institute, State Institute of Fine Arts and Design of Tajikistan, Murmansk Arctic State University, Synergy University and Ivanovo Polytechnic University.

This year, 400 works were submitted to the competition, of which 50 made it to the final show. Ivanovo was represented by a graduate of the Department of Costume Design named after N.G. Mizonova Ekaterina Sokhareva. Katya presented the “Artisian” clothing collection, for which she was awarded a special prize from the PR director of the “Interfabric” and “Textile&Home” exhibitions, editor-in-chief of the Fashion Technology project Vera Ivanova. This is the right to participate with a company stand at the future Interfabric exhibition.
