Evgeny Rumyantsev: training personnel for the light industry is task number one
The rector of our university made a report on ways to overcome the personnel shortage at a joint meeting of the Russian Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry and the Ryazan Association for Economic Cooperation of Enterprises, held on October 3.
The RUME in Ryazan was represented by President Alexander Shokhin, Vice-President, Managing Director of the Regional Development Office Sergei Mytenkov and Member of the Board, Chairman of the RUME Commission on Textile and Light Industry Andrey Razbrodin. The off-site meeting of the RUMEwas also attended by the Governor of the Ryazan region Pavel Malkov, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, heads of enterprises and industry unions.
The head of the business association noted that nowdays the structure of supplies and importsin light industry is dynamically changing, logistics chains are being rebuilt, and changes are taking place to suit consumer demands.The demand for textiles has increased significantly this year.However, in the current version of the draft state budget, it is proposed to allocate 41% of the previously planned volume for 2024 to support the industry. Despite this, the industry must reduce its dependence on imports by half and increase its potential.
Named personnel training “problem and task number one,” the governor of the Ryazan region shared his experience of creating a mechanical engineering cluster on the basis of the College of Electronics, and the rector of the Ivanovo Polytechnic University shared his experience of creating an industry Competence Center for textile and light industry and its scaling through participation in the implementation of the federal project “Professionalism.”in the direction of "light industry".
