Ivanovo Polytechnic University develops connections with light industry leaders
On September 11th, a delegation from the Ivanovo Polytechnic University visited the Pavlovo Posad Shawl Manufactory, and a little earlier the university received a delegation from the Ivanovo Melange Factory.
Deputy General Directors of the Melange Mill Ekaterina Korolkova and Irina Kurnaeva, head of the spinning production Alexey Zakharov, head of the chemical laboratory Anna Borovkova, head of the department of foreign economic activity Olga Tatarintseva and head of the personnel management department Tatyana Eidelman were given a tour of the Training and Production Complex of the Textile and Light Industry Competence Center industry, spoke about the training of technologists for textile production and about the federal project “Professionalism”, in the implementation of which the Polytechnic Institute was entrusted with participation.
The head of the department of practice and employment, Elena Vlasova, shared her experience of targeted training of personnel on orders from enterprises, and the Vice-Rector for Educational Activities and Educational Work Alexey Matrokhin discussed issues of cooperation with the enterprise, a reason for pride that is not only its rich history, but also a noticeable update of production capacities and growth production volumes of melange fabrics.
When it comes to Pavlovsky Posad near Moscow, one immediately thinks of uniquely beautiful, locally produced scarves and shawls known throughout the world. Today they are produced by the Pavlovo Posad Shawl Manufactory, founded in 1795, at the invitation of whose management the company was visited by the rector of the university Evgeny Rumyantsev, the head of the information resources and communications department Alla Novikova and the head of the practice and employment department Elena Vlasova.
The Ivanovites were met by General Director Alexander Kartashov, Deputy General Director, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Chairman of the Board of the National Union of Folk Arts and Crafts Vyacheslav Dolgov and Honored Artist of Russia, laureate of the State Prize and numerous Russian and international exhibitions Elena Zhukova. Representatives of the Polytechnic University were shown a unique production and were introduced to the artists who create real masterpieces. They talked about their working conditions and opportunities for creative growth. They showed separate service living quarters intended for young professionals with kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and hallways, with modern renovations and everything necessary for life: from furniture to household appliances.
A visit to the “Miracle Shawl” cultural center, which is being built by the enterprise, complemented the overall impression. As Varvara Sharikova, head of the development department of the Pavlovo Posad Shawl Manufactory, said, there will be a museum and exhibition area, a cinema hall, spaces for master classes, various events and creative expression of people of any age. Construction is in its final stages, and soon the center will become an iconic place attracting the attention of local youth, as well as tourists from all over the country.
The meeting resulted in the signing of a cooperation agreement and an agreement on a return visit. The Pavloposad Shawl Manufactory invites young artists and graduates of other areas of training, and on September 15th, a delegation from the enterprise will visit our university. At 12.00, teachers and students interested in gaining an interesting experience of cooperation with a unique enterprise, others in finding an ideal place of work are invited to a meeting with employees of the manufactory.
