The project you've been waiting for
The department of designing garments "dressed" the choir "White dew" in the village of Shekshovo in new stage costumes. Viewers observed the change in the image of the creative team on June 3rd - at the Day of the Village, which is traditionally celebrated before the patronal feast of the Life-Giving Trinity.
The project - the winner of the festival of projects of the Institute of Textile Industry and Fashion - was made within the framework of the discipline "Designing clothes for enterprises of the Ivanovo region" by order of the Shekshovsky rural settlement of Gavrilovo-Posadsky district. Here, the local Palace of Culture was recently renovated, and the White Dew Choir is its hallmark and a participant in all cultural rural events.
There are fifteen members and four male soloists in the team. New stage sets for them are made from fabrics of the Teykovo cotton mill and include a shirt, a sundress, a detachable collar and a kokoshnik. Sketches were repeatedly coordinated with the customer and fittings were performed, and on June 3, artists in new stage costumes opened a festive concert.
Before it began, the head of the Shekshovsky rural settlement Sergey Korotkov (by the way, a graduate of the IVSPU) expressed gratitude to the head of the department of designing garments Victor Kuzmichev for his active citizenship, responsiveness and contribution to the development of cultural activities in the village of Shekshov.
Marina Puchkova, head of a separate branch of the municipal government institution "CULTURAL AND RECREATION CENTER of the Shekshovsky rural settlement":
“Our choir has been transformed with new costumes. Now we will be able to adequately perform not only at regional, but also at regional events. Thank you very much!"
Ksenia Molodtsova, student: “It was interesting for us to work on this project, and we liked the result very much. The festive concert was very warm, there were many congratulations to the workers of the village, future first-graders, graduates of the rural school, veterans and anniversaries.”
For reference
The village of Shekshovo is one of the oldest settlements in the Ivanovo region. The first mention of it refers to 1446. The rich traditions of the village have been formed over the centuries thanks to family dynasties, the presence of the unique temple of Joachim and Anna, the Palace of Culture, and a number of archaeological sites.
