MAYAK with engineering and defense industry enterprises

On April 12th , the Ivanovo Polytechnic University hosted the forum “ MAYAK - My Academy of a Bright Career” for students of the areas of study “Radio Engineering”, “Technological Machines and Equipment”, “Automation of Technological Processes and Productions” and the College of ISPU.

Representatives of machine-building companies and enterprises of the military-industrial complex came to the meeting with the students, the training of qualified personnel for which, according to Vice-Rector for Educational Activities and Educational Work Alexei Matrokhin, is a priority task for the university today.

The Voentelecom plant was presented by Evgeniy Balashov, Deputy Director of the Ivanovo Branch, and Victoria Shastova, Head of the Human Resources Department. Darya Fadeyeva, a youth worker at Yaroslavl's Avtodizel, spoke about employment opportunities, and Irina Davydova, head of the HR department at the Ivanovo Professional plant, spoke about employment opportunities.

Lyubov Prokhorova, a human resources specialist at Spetskomplekt (Ivanovo), and Olga Peplova, an advertising and marketing specialist, and Olga Patrikeeva and Ekaterina Marycheva, specialists from the personnel training department at Aquarius PC, also spoke about the range of products, vacancies and working conditions at their enterprises. The ABI company from Vladimir was represented by the head of the department Ivan Baryshev and Irina Lunina, a specialist in work with universities. The male part of the audience was interested to hear about the service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Ivanovo region. This organization was represented by HR specialists Tatiana Zanina and Dmitry Polyakov.

In turn, the head of the practice and employment department of the ISPU Elena Vlasova spoke about the experience of interaction between the university and defense industry enterprises and the specifics of targeted training of personnel for these industries, and then invited the students to ask the guests questions they were interested in. And there were a lot of them! What skills are most valued in a job candidate? What are the benefits for youth? Does the enterprise have a council of young specialists? What are the career prospects and living conditions for out-of-town workers, families with children? Is there a trial period? Does the company offer any internships or training programs?

Traditionally, a master class on writing an effective resume was held by Maria Kuzmina, and an employee of the department, Elena Kuklina, spoke about the possibilities of the Facultetus platform and invited enterprises and students to register on this platform.
