Finalists of the Fashion 4.0 festival help Ivanovo companies to develop brands
On March 25, on the Day of the Worker of Culture and All Creative Professions, the Ivanovo Polytechnic University hosted a presentation of the results of young designer work on the ideas of fashionable and stylish clothing collections commissioned by Ivanovo clothing companies.
Following the concept of the project "From local fashion brands to the image and success of Russia", supported by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, ten young designers - students and graduates from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Izhevsk and Ivanovo, who became finalists of the IV All-Russian Festival in December last year Fashion 4.0 - Evolution, have been working on sketches of future products for ten Ivanovo brands. Tutors of the Ivanovo Polytechnic University became mentors of young creative designers, sharing all their experience and knowledge. And the heads of customer enterprises, the President of the Festival Vladimir Vikyu and the Rector of the Polytechnic University Evgeny Rumyantsev assessed how the project teams managed to overcome the gap between beauty and usefulness, between unbridled creative imagination and technology.
The first, most energy-intensive stage of creating new, commercially interesting collections has been completed. And already now we can say that these will not be some strange, “complex” things or pretentious podium images. Each model was developed in relation to the existing production base, taking into account the latest trends and seasonal fashion trends. The next step is the design and technological stage. Sketches and a detailed technical description of each of the future products were handed over to customers - Vioteks, Detsky Boom, Ivanovo Textile Company, Zavi, Hot Story, Topless Rus, Fotoprint - Ivanovo (GC " Mercury"), "Home Style", as well as individual entrepreneurs Elena Bakhvalova and Viktor Lysenko. The story should end with the launch of mass production of fashionable things, from good materials, with an adequate price. This is the principle of operation of the Competence Center for Textile and Light Industry, operating on the basis of the Ivanovo Polytechnic University, where creative and talented designers are its main resource.
And an example of how they can work is the clothing collections that have already appeared on sale. Popular women's knitted suits from the Helena collection from the Vioteks company, models of insulated children's clothing from the VIBE line created for the Detline company, as well as youth models made of linen in combination with membrane materials were demonstrated to new customers of the Competence Center by participants of the well-known Ivanovo modeling studio ART PLAY - a permanent partner of the university's image and promotional events.
Evgeny Rumyantsev, Rector of Ivanovo State Polytechnic University “At a time when Western brands are massively leaving the Russian market and well-established supply chains are torn, we have an understanding of how we can be useful to local companies. This is assistance in the training and selection of personnel and a range of services that will help overcome the difficulties that have arisen and enter the market with new product offerings. And our next project to promote regional fashion brands, which received support at the highest state level, is aimed at becoming a universal center of competence for business colleagues, where you can find a solution to any problem.”
