Ivanovo hosts an exhibition of works by Irina Krutikova

Ivanovo citizens and guests of the city are invited to the exhibition of works by the world famous fashion designer Irina Krutikova, which was opened in the exhibition hall of the Museum of “Ivanovo Sittsy” resource center on December 9, during the All-Russian festival "Fashion 4.0 - Evolution" and is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the "Queen of Fur".

Fur has always been worn in Russia:amazing, fabulous, flowing, warm, fluffy. For decades, fashion designer Irina Krutikova has been using fur in her creations.

The museum exposition presents unique masterpieces of furrier's art - fur coats, capes made of ermine, broadtail, fox, seal, muskrat, arctic fox, sable, sheepskin, rabbit, squirrel. And, of course, models from the collection "Birds", which brought I.V. Krutikova became world famous and the title of Laureate of the State Prize in 1992, forever inscribing her name in the world history of fashion. The artist embodied the image of the firebird in a stunningly beautiful cape, assembled from thin fur plates of various shades, creating a unique delicate ornament.

The attention of visitors will also be attracted by things created by Irina Vladimirovna using new, developed fur processing technologies. For example, items from the collection created in 2006 using the technology of applying nano-coatings of precious metals to leather and fur. This processing method allows you to change the color of the material - from brown to bright gold, and was developed in conjunction with the Keldysh Center - the leading research center in the field of rocket and space energy of the Federal Space Agency of Russia.

We add that the exhibition was organized by the World of Arts - II Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization and was opened within the framework of the IV All-Russian Festival "Fashion 4.0 - Evolution" thanks to the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. Together with the head of the Museum of “Ivanovo Sittsy” Galina Kareva, who opened the exposition, the ceremony was attended by the chairman of the organizing committee of the Fashion 4.0 - Evolution Festival, the rector of IVSPU YevgenyRumyantsev, representatives of the partner of the university - the capital non-profit organization World of Arts - II, numerous guests and participants of the Festival who came to Ivanovo from all over the country. The opening ceremony of the exhibition was organically complemented by a creative meeting that Irina Vladimirovna held with young designers at one of the festival grounds in the Ivanovo State Polytechnic University, where she spoke in detail about the creation of her creations and shared the secrets of working with fur.
