Ivanovo Polytech presented the region at a conference devoted to the development of domestic tourism
“Vladimirsky tract - the road to new technologies in tourism" - under this name the National Conference was held recently, where experts and practitioners of the tourism business met. The representatives of the IVGPU presented their solutions at the conference.
The conference, held on the territory of the agro-cultural tourist complex "Bogdarnya", which is located in the Petushinsky district, on the border of the Vladimir and Moscow regions, was attended by the rector of the University Evgeny Rumyantsev, the head of the Complex of Museum, Exhibition and Resource Centers, Associate Professor of the Department of Information Technology and Service Felix Kagan, senior teacher of the same department Yekaterina Tikhonova, first-year students Yekaterina Maksimova and Nadezhda Motorina and Head of the Information Resources and Communications Department Alla Novikova.
The scientists from the Economics and Geography Faculties of Lomonosov Moscow State University , Russian State University for the Humanities, Crimean Federal University, Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University and a number of other universities, specialists in the tourism industry of the Yaroslavl and Vladimir regions took part at the conference.
Speaking at the section "Regional tourism and education", in the development of the idea of territorial branding, F.I. Kagan presented two reports. He based on his own long -year experience and outlined the main concepts of the development of creative inbound tourism in the Ivanovo region, and then spoke about the features and advantages of the sociocultural area of our university, which allows us to search for new themes and formats of work in the field of sociocultural and event tourism and form the students’ necessary competencies. This was confirmed by the following speakers Ekaterina Tikhonova and the students of the department, who brilliantly presented to the experts the concept and individual fragments of the network project "Printed cotton kings of the Ivanovo region: factory, personal and public affairs."
