New international project of ISPU

Slovenia joined the project of the Department of Designing Sewing Products of the Ivanovo Polytechnic University on the virtual reconstruction of historical costumes. This is stated in the agreement on scientific cooperation concluded between the ISPU and the University of Maribor.

The project is supported by the Agency for Scientific Research of this South European Republic, and the Department of Textile Design and Clothing Production Institute of the University of Maribor, Institute of Textile and Clothing, Institute of Textile and Fashion, is engaged in direct implementation. From the Russian side, the project is leaded by the head of the Department of Designing Sewing Products , Professor Viktor Kuzmichev, the next European partner of the department is Professor Dzhelka Gershak.

The post-graduate student of ISPU Zhang Shichao is in Maribor now. She collects information for the virtual reconstruction of the costume of a Slovenian teenager of the period preceding the beginning of the First World War. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the State Museum of National Liberation.
