Schoolchildren and their parents presented "Professionality"

On April 16th on the Single Open Day of the federal project "Professionality", of which our region became a participant, Ivanovo Polytechnic University acquainted applicants and their parents with the conditions for project’s implementation and key participants.

It is worth mentioning that this year the Ivanovo region has successfully passed the competitive selection and became one of the 42 regions of Russia, where the federal project "Professionality" of the national project "Education" was launched in pilot mode. The project provides for a deep reform of the secondary vocational education system and is aimed at building a new model for training workers, synchronized with the demands of the labour market. Already this year, in the regions participating in the project, 70 educational and industrial clusters (centers) will be created in eight priority areas: the nuclear industry, railway transport, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, the chemical industry, agriculture, and the pharmaceutical industry. Light industry is also among the state priorities. This direction will be developed by the College of the ISPU and the Shuya multidisciplinary college in partnership with other educational institutions and enterprises in the industry.

On the Single Open Day of "Professionality" in Ivanovo, on the basis of the ISPU, an impromptu parent meeting was held, as well as professional tests organized for schoolchildren at the production sites of the city. Applicants and their parents were able to learn about the conditions for the implementation of the federal project in the Ivanovo region and get acquainted with employer companies that are ready to hire future graduates. The sphere of education at the meeting was represented by: Vice-Rector for Educational Activities of the ISPU Alexei Matrokhin, Director of the Ivanovo Polytechnic College Andrey Nikonov, Deputy Director for Educational and Industrial Work of the Shuya Multidisciplinary College Yelena Solovyova, Advisor to the Department of Vocational Education of the Department of Education of the Ivanovo Region Dmitry Fomichev. HR business partner of Orma Group Yulia Ponomareva and HR of Beads Group Ekaterina Nizova acted as partner companies.

In the course of professional trials at Orma Group LLC, schoolchildren were shown the full production cycle for making mattresses and were given the opportunity to participate in the production of covers for them. At the Clothes and Fashion enterprise, the guys got acquainted with the sewing industry and felt like sewing machine operators. And at the enterprises of the Group of Companies "Biser" they could not only learn about the sewing industry and try their hand at the training center, but also get acquainted with the features of the assortment in retail trade.
