Representatives of the Ivanovo State Polytechnic University attended the educational event “Student Mentors and Tutors”

From October 24th to 26th, the Komi Republic hosted the Open Educational Event “Student Mentors and Tutors”, which brought together more than 100 students from 36 educational organizations in Russia.

The event was organized by the Syktyvkar State University named after Pitirim Sorokin - a flagship university of Komi - with the support of the Association of Trainers of the Russian Youth Union with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the Resource Youth Center. “Student Mentors and Tutors” - a project aimed at training tutors and mentors of student groups of universities and colleges of Russia.The key goal of the project was the exchange and generalization of the experience of experts and students of various educational institutions. Within 3 days, the participants replenished knowledge, shared best practices in the field of tutoring and mentoring. Each of them has developed an individual plan for the development of a mentoring system, which is important and needs to be implemented in their educational institutions.All participants were divided into 2 categories: tutors are those who are just starting to master in the mentoring system, and leaders are those who are at the head of the curatorial corps in their educational institutions. For them, work was organized in blocks, where each of the levels pumped participants in their chosen field.The final stage of the educational program was a business game, during which the participants developed a plan for the strategic development of the mentoring system of their educational institution.The Ivanovo Polytech at the event was presented by Daria Kirillova, head of the student curatorial corps, Titov Egor and Konstantin Vorobyov, student-curators of the first-year groups of our university.
